Current information about the Spartan Race St. Pölten 2020

Updated information about the Spartan Race St.Pölten
- Event is rescheduled to October 23. & 24. 2020.

Detailed information you can find at the end of the FAQ.

Dear Spartans!

Today we have to inform you that the Event SPARTAN St. Pölten, originally schedule for the 10. /11. of May, had to be rescheduled to October 23 & 24, 2020.

Over the last weeks we have hoped just like everyone else that the current situation around Covid-19 would improve and that mass participation events like Spartan can be held again relatively quickly. In the light of the current developments the outlook we have to face is a very different one. A mass participation event like Spartan Race will not be possible in the month of May- and we acknowledge that resources will be needed elsewhere and priorities have to be given to the existential issues we’re facing as a society. Because of this and with the health and safety of our participants, volunteers and staff always in mind- we decided to reschedule the event to this new date.

We are facing an exceptional situation that goes beyond what we had imagined and prepared: for you, for governments, for insurances and for us as organizers. All sports and events is an eco system- where everybody is important: you, the racers at first; but also all the people that work to make things happen- as part of the organization teams or with all the partners and suppliers and service providers. We see now how fragile this eco system is - now that we are faced with a situation to cancel or reschedule events. That’s why we - like many other organizers- are working hard to take all that into consideration and offer the best possible solutions for everyone involved.

That’s why we are very glad that we have been able to secure an alternative date - thanks to the support and efforts by all the different stakeholders- for this EVENT so that we can welcome you to the event on October 23 & 24, 2020.

You all have trained hard to be ready for this challenge- and so did we: our staff, partners, suppliers and many other stakeholders have worked with big efforts over many months to make this event the best possible experience for our racers and volunteers- and we will continue to do that now with the new date.

To offer as much flexibility as possible to our racers we are extending our transfer options and offer the following options for registered Spartans:

  1. your registration remains valid for the race at the new date.
  2. Transfer free of charge to another race of the same format (Sprint to Sprint, Super to Super) in your Country in 2020.
  3. Defer your race and get a code with the amount you paid usable for any other race in Western Europe (Austria, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Slovenia, Netherlands, Switzerland, Denmark) without any transfer fees.* in 2020.

More details about transfers you can find at the end in this FAQ.

*Please note that in Spartan Terms & Conditions and disclaimer, a refund for such a case of force majeure is excluded. In the terms agreed, we reserve the right to postpone the event in exceptional situations and, for the sake of clarity, the current situation we are facing due to Covid 19 is by definition exceptional. We are dedicated to our racers and for that we are trying our best to offer more options for goodwill reasons. Our aim is to offer a solution that works for everyone (from the customers, to all partners and suppliers and the organizing company) while respecting the limitations that we have to accept in this situation.

We have extended the standards terms on this to the maximum extend- to offer on one hand the maximum possible flexibility - and at the same securing Spartan Races for the future to happen again.

For doubts and questions please contact germany@Spartanraceeurope.com

Thank you very much for your understanding and support in these difficult times- and we keep working tirelessly on offering the best possible race experiences for you!

In this option you can also transfer to other German events regardless of the race format.
(e.g. Sprint Open Heat to Super Elite Heat)

This option can not be used if you registered with a code. Only the paid amount for the registration that gets deferred is considered. If a discount or a deferment code was used for the original registration, only the amount that was paid to complete that registration will be considered. (e.g. if the payment for a €100 registration will be done with a 40% or €40 voucher code, the deferment for that race will be a €60 voucher code. MaxFun calculates only the amount paid in, not the amount the race would cost. Therefore, if a 100% code will be used, the voucher code is worth €0.)
