New for 2020!
Every Spartan Sprint, Super, Beast and Ultra will receive a course evaluation.
Each course is assigned a set of helmets to determine its difficulty. More helmets indicate more difficult conditions. Ratings are awarded based on the following attributes.
1. Altitude difference
2. Height
3. type of terrain
4. temperature - based on the annual average
MAX Ratings - An event with 2 "hard" ratings is given the designation MAX (e.g. Sprint MAX).
