We want the Kids to live the excitement of the Sport competition!
For racers ages 10-14 seeking a heightened level of competition, we introduce the Competitive Heat in Europe, that requires racers to attempt all obstacles and includes a 15 burpee penalty for all failed obstacles. The top three male and female racers will be awarded and recognized with a podium ceremony.
The age divisions for the COMPETITIVE are:
- 12 - 14 years – 3200 meters
- 10 – 11 years – 3200 meters
RESTRICTION TO REGISTER IN THE COMPETITIVE DIVISION:
- The rule of the age counts at the end of the year like for Adult AG (Example 1: Race in Morzine in July 2020. Participant is 11 years old in July at the race but turns 12 before the 31.12.2020. Therefore, in Competitive heat this participant is grouped in 12-14 at the event in Morzine)
- They have to be minimum 10 years on race day.
- Kids that turn 15 in 2020 cannot race in competitive heat but can only race in Open.
TIMING:
Participants of the competitive heats will therefore need to wear timing chips- that need to be worn with a wristband.
Podium will be determined by chip timing.
AWARDS:
Podium ceremony especially for Kids will be held. This ceremony can be part of the adult awards ceremony if schedule allows, but will be within 2-3 hours after the race.
Top3 Winner male & female of the two competitive heats (10-11 & 12-14) will be awarded per Age Group and Gender.
QUALIFIES FOR THE KIDS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP:
- Kids that will finish 1st,2nd,3rd in one of the both competitive heats will be automatically qualified.
- The Kids will be informed about their qualification 2-4 weeks after the race.
