We, too, have taken note that the Munich Marathon 2020 had to be cancelled. We are therefore still in contact with the approval authorities and the status here is still that our concept will be assessed from the beginning of September. However, due to the latest news we have decided to close the registrations for the time being until we have a decision on our concept. We will also keep you up to date here.

Updated information about the Spartan Race Munich
- Event is rescheduled to October 30 & 31, 2020.
Due to the latest developments around the situation of Coronavirus, we would like to inform you about the effects on the Spartan Race in Munich. With the public announcement by the Free State of Bavaria, all events in Bavaria with more than 1000 participants were suspended until April 19, 2020.
The safety of our participants, spectators, team members and volunteers is our top priority and the orders are of course followed. However, the Spartan Race Munich will not be canceled, but will be rescheduled to October 30 & 31, 2020.
All entry tickets of the registered participants are automatically updated to the new date. This applies to all races and formats: the Spartan Sprint, the Spartan Night Sprint, the Spartan Kids Race and the Hurricane Heat.
The schedule of the event - and by that the start times of the participants - will remain the same, with the only exception of the Spartan Night Sprint. Due to the changed circumstances, the Night Sprint will now start at 7:00 p.m. (previously 8:30 p.m.). The starting times of the participants have been updated accordingly and can be viewed in the profile in MaxFun.
We offer extended transfer options for all participants who are unable to attend the race at the new date. The Options are as follows:

How to open your MaxFun profile
1)Create Coupon
Option a)
Your tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled event.
No further actions are required. You can find your updated registration and confirmation email in your Max Fun profile.
Option b) - Free Transfer to the same race format in DACH, NL, DK in 2020 free of charge
You can transfer your race in the same format (Sprint, Night sprint, Kids & HH) to another race in 2020 in DE,AT, CH, NL, DK without any costs.
This option can used by any registration, even if you registered with a code for free.
For example:
If you booked the "Munich Sprint Open Heat" ,you can now transfer your registration to another Sprint Open Heat in one of the other events like for example: Zandvoort Sprint Open Heat.
For that: you need to enter your MaxFun profile and choose the option "Deferral" (1) in the Dropdown on the right. Now you can choose e.g. "Zandvoort Sprint Open Heat" | If you booked "Munich Night Sprint" you can transfer to "Super Open Heats" too
Now you can choose e.g. "Zandvoort Sprint Open Heat"
Please note:
- The code you will get can not be changed afterwards.
- The code you will get is bound to your name and there is no option to give the code to someone else.
- It's not possible to transfer from Sprint to Super. But a transfer from Super to Sprint is possible.
- Only races which are shown can be chosen. There is no exception
Option c) - Defer your registration for any race in Western Europe in 2020
(Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, Andorra, Slovenia, Switzerland, Netherlands, France, Denmark)
Important: The code is available until 3 months after the regular event date, not of the postponed one.
Only usable for 2020 events.
With the deferral you receive a voucher with the value of the amount you paid for your registration.
This voucher can be used now for another race in Western Europe.For more details read here the regular Transfer options!
In this option you can also transfer to other German events regardless of the race format.
(e.g. Sprint Open Heat to Super Elite Heat)
This option can not be used if you registered with a code. Only the paid amount for the registration that gets deferred is considered. If a discount or a deferment code was used for the original registration, only the amount that was paid to complete that registration will be considered. (e.g. if the payment for a €100 registration will be done with a 40% or €40 voucher code, the deferment for that race will be a €60 voucher code. MaxFun calculates only the amount paid in, not the amount the race would cost. Therefore, if a 100% code will be used, the voucher code is worth €0.)

If you used transfer option B or C you will find your code in the coupon section on the right site in your MAXFUN account
