Update 20.07.2020:
Due to the constructive feedback in the last days regarding the cancellation of the events in Berlin and Kulmbach and the lively exchange with the Spartan Pro athletes and many other dedicated Spartans, the regulations and options regarding the transfer will be adjusted.
Together with our Spartans we want to overcome the challenging time as another obstacle. Therefore, we turn over every stone once again to find better solutions for you as athletes. However, this requires exact planning.
Please give us until the end of the week - we will then inform all Spartans immediately via social media and a newsletter.
As a first measure we have suspended the deadline for Berlin and Kulmbach to decide between a transfer in 2020 or a voucher for 2021 until further notice.
We hope that the new options we will present to you at the end of the week will be more convenient for you.
Dear Spartan,
The Spartan Race Kulmbach, originally schedule for June 19-21, changed to October 16-18 has to be cancelled for this year.
The Spartan Race Berlin, originally schedule for the September 26-27, has to be cancelled for this year.
Over the last weeks we have hoped just like everyone else that mass participation events like Spartan can be held again in autumn. In the light of the current developments the outlook we have to face is a very different one. A mass participation sport event like Spartan Race will not be possible in the month of October as the German government and the local government have prohibited mass participation sport events up until the end of October 2020. Of course we follow these orders to the full extend, also with the health and safety of our participants, volunteers and staff in mind.
We are facing an exceptional situation that goes beyond what we had imagined and prepared, nevertheless we have been looking for alternative dates and solutions together with the authorities, partners and host towns.
You all have trained hard to be ready for this challenge, you have been preparing for weeks and months and of course you have been so much looking forward to this great community event - and so did we. You have shown so much understanding and patience over the past months so we really like to thank you and offer you the best possible transfer options. The following options will be available for you:

How to open your MaxFun profile
If you have registered for 4 or more different events (not race formats per event) in Spartan WEU, (it doesn't matter if you use the Multi-Race-Pass or single) you can contact our support and we will offer you a special solution for your case.
Example: Booking of Munich-Sprint, Andorra-Super, Oberndorf-Beast, Morzine-Ultra or more | 3 race formats on one weekend (e.g. Kulmbach Trifecta - Sprint/Super/Beast count as 1 event).
1)Create Coupon
Option a) - Free Transfer to the same race format in DACH, NL in 2020 free of charge
(bound on name)
You can transfer your race in the same format (Sprint, Night sprint, Kids & HH) to another race in 2020 in DE,AT, CH, NL, without any costs.
This option can used by any registration, even if you registered with a code for free.
For example:
If you booked the "Kulmbach Sprint Open Heat", you can now transfer your registration to another Sprint Open Heat in one of the other events like for example: Zandvoort Sprint Open Heat.
For that: you need to enter your MaxFun profile and choose the option "Deferral" (1) in the Dropdown on the right. Now you can choose e.g. "Zandvoort Sprint Open Heat" | If you booked "Munich Night Sprint" you can transfer to "Super Open Heats" too
Now you can choose e.g. "Zandvoort Sprint Open Heat"
Please note:
- The code you will get can not be changed afterwards.
- The code you will get is bound to your name and there is no option to give the code to someone else.
- It's not possible to transfer from Sprint to Super. But a transfer from Super to Sprint is possible.
- Only races which are shown can be chosen. There is no exception
Option b) - Defer your registration for any race in Western Europe in 2020
(NOT bound on name)
(Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, Andorra, Slovenia, Switzerland, Netherlands, France)
Important: The code is available until 3 months after the regular event date, not of the postponed one.
Only usable for 2020 events. If the value of the voucher is 0€ or a much lower value than what you have paid due to a previous transfer, please send us an email)
With the deferral you receive a voucher with the value of the amount you paid for your registration.
This voucher can be used now for another race in Western Europe.For more details read here the regular Transfer options!
In this option you can also transfer to other German events regardless of the race format.
(e.g. Sprint Open Heat to Super Elite Heat)
This option can not be used if you registered with a code. Only the paid amount for the registration that gets deferred is considered. If a discount or a deferment code was used for the original registration, only the amount that was paid to complete that registration will be considered. (e.g. if the payment for a €100 registration will be done with a 40% or €40 voucher code, the deferment for that race will be a €60 voucher code. MaxFun calculates only the amount paid in, not the amount the race would cost. Therefore, if a 100% code will be used, the voucher code is worth €0.)
Option c)
You will receive your personal 70% code for the Spartan Berlin or Kulmbach 2021 (same distance or shorter and same category you were listed in for the original Spartan Race). This code is valid as long as the registration for the new event is open.
To make sure you get the lowest prices when you register, we have blocked a special time slot for you to get the best price before all other Spartans. After that, the code will remain valid, but the current prices will always apply.
You will also get an additional 30% code for a race in Germany, redeemable for you or your friends who want to race with you in 2021* (this code is not bound to a name and is valid for the same distance or shorter and the same category you were listed for the Spartan Berlin 2020).
Volunteers keep their free start place. Please let us know (volunteers-de@spartanraceeurope.com) if you do not want to transfer your free start within Germany and we will arrange another race for you.
2) How to use my Coupon
If you used transfer option A or B you will find your code in the coupon section on the right site in your MAXFUN account

2) format you can use your code. If nothing is shown it can be used on any race.
